File Submission
If you are also making a CD or DVD project with Crystal Clear, simply save your apparel art to a CDR and send along with your disc project. (NOTE THAT WE REQUIRE ARTWORK TO BE SENT ON DISC ALONG WITH PRINTOUTS OF FILES FOR REFERENCE)
Templates/Sizing
There is no “standard” template for apparel. Simply create your design to the exact print size and indicate the print dimensions needed with your order. Note maximum print size for apparel silk-screen printing is 15” wide X 17” tall.
Specifications
Art must be saved using the Pantone® Matching System color chart as a “spot” or “PMS” color. (Use Pantone® Solid Coated colors only; we are unable to print Uncoated or Process Pantone® colors on disc.) Do NOT send art in CMYK or RGB color.
Save images at 300dpi (or better). (Note that Web art is not suitable for printing because it is saved in RGB color and at a low resolution of only 72dpi).
Save graphics in EPS or TIFF format as vector type files. Make sure to convert all text to OUTLINES, as this will eliminate having to send us any font files. (If you are using another graphics program, please make sure all fonts are converted to "curves" or "outlines".)
Avoiding any artwork that includes halftone screens - screen rulings suitable for offset (paper & magazine) printing. These types of images are unsuitable for screen-printing as the maximum lines per inch (lpi) capability for printing on garments is only 55 lines per inch vs typically 150-200 lpi for paper printing. Instead, simply create artwork using 100% of each spot/PMS color.
