What is DualDisc™?
DualDisc™ has both a CD and a DVD side, permitting labels and artists to create exciting new ways of using audio, video and computer content - all on a single two-sided disc.
The CD side contains standard Redbook audio and the DVD side can feature a variety of DVD content including: enhanced multichannel audio, 5.1 surround sound, music videos, artist interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, documentary films, photo galleries, lyrics, computer-ready digital song files and Web-links.

ear candy all on one disc! Feature combinations can be entirely
unique to the artist or label’s wishes. |
How much audio can the CD side hold?
• The CD side can hold a maximum of 60 minutes of playtime.
• The DVD side supports the DVD5 format. At about 4.7 GB this
side has enough capacity for approximately 120 minutes of video with
5.1 surround sound.
How compatible is
DualDisc™?
• DualDisc™ was
developed to be played on both CD and DVD players. The DVD side
offers full compatibility with all currently available DVD players,
while the CD side can be played in virtually all CD players.
• The DVD side plays wherever a DVD plays - including many
gaming consoles and computers. In a PC, the DVD side also supports
DVD-ROM, so DualDiscs can include computer extras and Web-links.
